Performance degration with latest rolling release
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG

Description

Hi,

after upgrading to latest rolling release I've seen a significant drop in performance.
I'm using a 1gig/250mbit fiber connection with pppoe dial in.

virtual VyOS
4 cpu cores (intel xeon e5-2630L V4)
8gb memory
3 network interfaces (virtio bridges)

latest rolling

stannert@tony:~$ show system image
The system currently has the following image(s) installed:

1: 1.4-rolling-202202010836 (default boot) (running image)

with 1.4-rolling-202109280217 I have about 850-900mbit/s downstream and 250mbit/s upstream. that's totally fine regarding overhead etcpp.
with 1.4-rolling-202202010836 I have about 195mbit/s downstream and 182mbit/s upstream.

Same setup, I made no changes just updated to latest rolling, rebooted and saw those performance drops.
As soon as I reboot the machine with the old rolling release I have the mentioned good performance.
