USB serial output console does not work
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG

Description

I'm using a external FTDI USB Serial Device converter on VyOS. After configured and rebooting, I'm not getting any output to console.
Configuration command used:

vyos@vyos# sudo ls -la /dev/serial/by-bus
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root  60 Aug 15 17:15 .
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 100 Aug 15 17:15 ..
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  13 Aug 15 17:15 usb0b2p1.0 -> ../../ttyUSB0
[edit]
vyos@vyos# set system console device usb0b2p1.0 speed 9600

After configuring and rebooting service serial-getty@USB0 - inactive (dead):

The [email protected] seems to work well after the fix. We should backport this to the equuleus as well.
