Wouldn't it be great if we could use SaltStack's [[ https://docs.saltstack.com/en/master/ref/modules/all/salt.modules.peeringdb.html | peeringdb ]] module to help generate configuration on VyOS?
- No more looking up AS-sets for peerings.
- No dropped sessions because you aren't keeping the maximum-prefix on every session up-to-date.
- Instead of building a configuration for each router for each ASN for each IX, instead write config to peer with another AS (and let your code make the IPv4 and IPv6 peerings for each of the other network's routers).
That's what I'm hoping for in [[ https://github.com/faelix/hphr/issues/5 | hphr issue #5 ]] but unfortunately it looks like the module isn't available.
Please consider upgrading salt-minion to 2019.2 in both VyOS 1.2 and VyOS 1.3?
