Cloudflare blocks pasting of code to vyos.dev
Open, LowPublic

Description

I wanted to create a task about updating the Boot steps section to no longer be about VyOS 1.2 (https://github.com/vyos/vyos-documentation/blob/sagitta/docs/troubleshooting/index.rst?plain=1#L410, for the record), but Cloudflare intercepted the Phabricator "Create New Task" action citing something about suspicious/dangerous content.

At least for me, if I paste the contents of the following Github Gist into a new Task on this site, it triggers a Cloudflare block: https://gist.github.com/b-/bc920b2921720147d20607e704b996c2

I'm not super familiar with Cloudflare's process/products, but my first thoughts are that there's probably a setting that can be changed to lessen how aggressive its protection is. Google says something about "WAF rules".

The quickfix is to add a space for your paths so something that looks like /usr/local/bin if cloudflare blocks that you just add a space after the first / and the WAF is bypassed.
