I'm testing VyOS 1.2rc8 on a Dell R940 server:
4 sockets Intel (R) Xeon (R) Gold 5118 CPU @ 2.30GHz
1.5 Tb of memory
96 logical processors
VyOS has only recognized 64 cores,
to recognize the 96 or more cores the following
change is required in the kernel config:
-CONFIG_NR_CPUS=64
+CONFIG_NR_CPUS=256
