My apologies. I meant to post this as a question, not a bug, and now I do not know how to delete it.

OH! Well that's a relief. So this documentation is just out-of-date, then: https://wiki.vyos.net/wiki/Version_history

(I knew it was missing 1.1.8 as the latest stable, but I couldn't find any indication that it was wrong about 1.2-squeeze/2.0-jessie.)

FWEW! Thanks for setting me straight. Then all I've to do is recommend that documentation be updated. :-)

Thanks.

Ponder/Answer created as requested: Q130

By assigning this back to me, is that an indication that you'd like me to update the documentation? Or are you taking care of that, and it's just up to me to close this?

I'm rummaging around in the wiki just now, i could quickly update the page but i'm unsure about the details;

VyOS 1.2.x (all nightly builds) is based on Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie)
VyOS 1.3.x is planned to be based onDebian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)

So this needs to be added, any info on the 'codename', 'based on' and kernel columns?

@syncer, @tic226: I have updated the Wiki: https://wiki.vyos.net/wiki/Version_history

It may need further updates if I've missed anything, but I think it's pretty close.

@tic226 If we continue the chemical theme, since 1.1.x is helium, 1.2.x will be lithium, and 1.3.x will be beryllium.

Well, may be 2.0 should be Sodium though...

Why? That's not next on the periodic table after beryllium. Boron comes next. :-)
